Looking slick man. Bumper is coming along nicely, how's it going to be different from the old one?

May be getting the exhaust changed so wont have a exhaust at the side also going to smooth in the little black vents and the part where u place your hands to open the tailgate. Once smoothed over going to attach a spring to the tailgate so it opens slighty further when the boot is popped to allow you to open the tailgate :)

Want to remove the vinyl off my roof and paint the roof black before the car show on the 27th. Though vinyl is a nightmare when it comes to remove it and does not help the weather being rubbish at the moment.

Sounds good, the spring is a class idea.

And is there many problems with a vinyl roof? I was contemplating wrapping mine.

Isnt any problems with it. Just after a while and washing the car the vinyl gets light scratches that you cant remove mines was gloss black but kinda now matt.I have had the vinyl on for just under 2 years now. So i am painting mine so i an polish the roof etc. Only reason why im removing it.

Well my smooth bumper is getting there. Started on the numberplate part. Really tricky to get the filler smooth and sand. Couple more coats and should be sorted. Might exchange the standard Punto rear light to white led strip. But not very sure yet. Im also thinking removing the bullet mirrors and putting on the standard mirrors. As the bullet mirrors... really are useless. More show than usable.

Few people were pit confused about the number plate part here is a pic

please note this picture was before i sanded the filler! lol first coat also

Well awaiting my new rear tires 185/45/15 instead of 195/50/15. Should sort the scrubbing with little stretch on the rear. Allowing me to lower the rear back to the 50mm drop. Arches will be sorted according to the new tires. Petrol flap finger recess will be smoothed also. And tailgate de-locked. Hopefully before the Italian car show.

Well need to decide about this exhaust. As ive started smoothing a other rear sporting bumper. Either to keep the exhaust as it is. Or get the tip removed down tip welded on so its hidden behind the rear bumper but still has a bit of a sporting noise?

Picture below as reference

Personally I'd have one at each side, but if you had to choose between the two i really dunno what i'd choose. Hidden is more symmetrical, but the exhaust looks sexy. You have a big decision!

i would leave it as it is, hidden exhausts make a car look a bit diesel-ish IMO, that said the sporting bumper itself because of it's design around where the exhaust tailipie sits means it looks good without, but having it on show makes the car look more purposeful

I'd be tempted to go centre mount with twin exhausts but recessed into the bumper slightly HOWEVER, I know how much of a pain this could be due to the spare wheel well  Kind of what I'm talking about, only higher...

I'd muck around with different tail pipes though. The VXR style one works well with the angles but I'd be tempted to go for a simpler single round bore in the same position or perhaps a twin bore. There's also the option of doing what many Fiats I've seen do and have a single pipe sticking out at an angle ala Coupe...

Or, if you wanted to go random...side exit ;)

Not very sure what im going to do. Think im going to leave the exhaust at the moment until maybe after the italain car show. Would anyone be interested in my smoothed sporting rear bumper? Painted in 647 Grigio Steel. But could be easily re-painted to match your own car.

Also thinking about removing the Bullet Mirrors and putting back on the standard punto mirrors. But colour code them to the car.

strangely, i normally hate aftermarket mirrors, but the bullet ones actually look really good on your car, especially against the leather, the cars so clean it adds a classy touch having the almost retro look mirrors on :)
