Fitted my tan leather seats today. Fronts and rear back. Bench is still be fitted. Rear seats were bit fidly but moved the brackets on the punto itself and the rear seats and managed to get them to lock in.
I was wary of it when you suggested the idea Brad, but then saw the photo's on FB.
And actually, I kinda like it, set's the inteior off nicley.... so what's next??
Thanks guys glad you like it. Tasks are to either get mk2 black door cards. Or get the door cards re trim in the tan leather. Possibly trim the parcel shelf tan? Wire up the heated seats when i get a wiring diagram. Sort the rear arches as the scrubbing issue has ripped bits of the paint. remove blue floor mats and get black geniune punto ones. List is not bad Oh and new boot build lol!. Hopefully get some more stuff ready for the show
. Remove all stickers from car, (Rear Window, Front Window etc)
. Floor mats changed from black/blue to plain black due to tan leather
.Smooth rear lock on Tailgate
.Possibly Abarth Front Bumper smoothed center section
.Fix rear arches + smooth petrol flap finger recess
.Standard mirrors back on or Bullet Mirrors stay on
Im thinking of buying a abarth front bumper for my punto but smooth the hole above where the numberplate should go? What do you guys think? abarth over my smoothed bumper?
...could well work. I do think the way you've smoothed your current one works really well though. Guessing you're meaning smoothing that vent above the plate? Wouldn't cause a cooling issue would it? Can't remember where the cold air feed comes in for the mk2 though I guess you could easily reroute it.
Personally I love the final silver punto, with the "pure photography" logo on it. That bumper looks the best but I don't know if thats what you're going for or not mate.
keep us posted!
hmmm Cant decide. Anyway bought a other rear sporting bumper XD £10 local scrappie. Going to smooth the one ive bought. Possibly shorten the numberplate recess then my smoothed rear which is on at the moment will be for sale!!
Got the leather seats fully fitted now. What a nightmare that was!. Had to make a few brackets and longer bolts but well worth it!. Just need to wire the front seat heater elements. Positive and Negative with a 35 fuse. What do you guys think of my tan seats? Got either the door cards going black or may get them in the same leather as the seats. My center console is now black with a smooth surface finish, instead of the factory silver with texture effect to match the dash
Started smoothing my other rear bumper today. Took my a few hours but got it 80% there. Just got the underside to do where the numberplate light goes to fill and sand.
