not done cooling, manifold isnt properly fitted - just checking it fit :D but cooling will be easy, shouldnt require any mods at all.

i need to do a bit of faffing with the ECU (trigger wheels are slightly different, so need to reset all that guff).

Am busy all weekend, hopefully get a good run at it next tuesday.

Cant wait till you stack it when we go out to race on some country lanes, its about time your luck runs out on the road instead of me always being in the hedges! haha :)

have to admit arc tha looks well beautiful...

hey it's not my fault you run out of skill before me mate :p

It's a dream mate...it's a dream...i only hope to achieve what you have done there!!! Massive respect for you for what you have done...but i still don't know if i can pull it on my own with my engine :(...i have 1.1MPI...:(...wird ecu...it's so hard for me...i do no...maybe u guyz in time will make it sound more easier...

as expected, it doesnt meet up with the exhaust system on the car.

so have measured up and just briefed local exhaust bod on what i need doing. have had a lambda boss added down there to allow the wideband lambda to get a reading of the whole exhaust and not just the result of the burn on no 1 / 3

ta :D

good to see you back on the boards mate (y)

it will be running megasquirt, yeah. still on MS1 extra, but may well upgrade that soon :)

hopefully have some time this week to get the last few fiddly bits done and then it'll be driveable :D

that's better;

had a bit of an arguement over the price (no way i was paying £95 for a flange, bit of pipe, flexy and having my own lambda boss welded in !!)

BUT, old flexy section bit didnt want to come out. so had to drop the whole exhaust system and get the hammer out to tap it back out of the joint;

done now :)

BUT the new pipe is a thicker walled pipe, so doesnt slot into the mid section. took to it with the angle grinder but only have the cutting disc to hand (flapper is at a mates house), so after taking a bit off and then it starting to rain, i gave up until tomorrow.

why do i get so excited by lengths of pipe welded together really :confused::D lol

So nearly there now mate, keep it coming (y)

ps.fitted your old GSR today to my cinq and fitted new plugs, pretty sure i'd taken the old ones out b4 to check them but think it might have been a different car now as they were hammered. then discovered it has flat battery, so hopefully 2moro mine will be working again.

angle grinding complete. the exhaust system now fits. but i have the wrong gasket (got early 16v stud pattern) new gasket should be here tomorrow.

plan to complete all mechanical work tomorrrow.

exhaust is now complete.

cooling system is on, fan relay wiring all moved, it's missing one jubliee clip so isn't filled yet.

just need to wait for dial gauge, find TDC make some marks, and then setup the trigger wheel on MS. strut brace doesnt fit, but looks pretty.
