Technical Low revs steering problem

Hi all. My Multipla is driving great until I try and park, now there's nothing wrong with my parking! but as soon as the revs drop the steering goes as stiff as a viagra addict. I have been told it could be the steering pump, belt, air lock or pulley. The fluid level is fine and I don't want to be spending a fortune trying to find the problem. Is there any tests to check the said parts or has anyone else have the same problem?

The steering is fine once I increase the revs. Its also fine first thing after being stood for about 5 mins then the problem returns!

check the belt driving the power steer pump (aux belt?)....sometimes they may not squeal when the belt is loose, just slips

yeah worth a try, bet its the pump though.
