Hi,

I’m trying to troubleshoot a light bulb issue on my newly acquired 08 Panda Cross which I bought with a smashed headlight but had no warnings on dash.

I have very odd lighting issue now that I’ve fitted a new headlight assembly. I fitted a brand new headlight from Fiat but the left front side light (the first bulb that comes on when you turn the dial on the stalk) does not illuminate. RH is fine as are all other lights around the whole of the vehicle!

Warning light on the dash “check front left side light”.

I’ve tried a half dozen different bulbs.

No voltage in the bulb holder.

I removed the large plug from the back of the new headlight and checked voltage on the connectors - voltage on high beam point but no voltage on the black/brown stripe wire for side light bulb.

So no voltage is coming down that wire at all.

I removed all the fuses as there isn’t one specific one for side lights... all good. I even swapped out the high beam relay. No change.

I removed the engine bay fuse box and looked at the back to trace the wire but it doesn’t go into that fuse box so it must run through the loom back into the car.

Anybody got any ideas where to look next?
