Hi,
Sounds like a fuel pressure sensor or regulator problem, the regulator is tricky but easy to change, without having to remove the hp pump. Its located to the rear of the hp pump with 2 torx t30 screws. Fed with 2 wires cant rember how to check wires i think your supposed to have a 12v feed. The regulator should buzz when 12v applied to it. This device regulates the high pressure fuel being fed to the common rail. The pressure sensor is located on the end of the rail. The pressure sensor has 3 wires, i ha to cut into mine and measure the voltages, 1 line is 5v, the other 0.5v signal line, the other earth, iginition on. When cranking it the signal line should reach approx 2v and drop slightly when started. Sounds to me your fuel pressure is ok at start up but perhaps isn't reduce for idle hence the ecu is switching the engine of. Eddy 07720 321009
Wonder if you can tell me the procdure for change the crank sensor, i cant re call removing a grommet ?.
