Hi I have a 2013 panda twinair and I have just had a strange fault
Driving the radio go’s off comes back on indicators work then stop then start again yellow light came on in dash
The dash lights came on for about 20 seconds then went off
Stoped car restarted no problems then it started again but this time it was only the radio and indicators
Anyone had this problem
It’s got to be a loose wire or connector I hope but were ?

Which yellow warning light came one?
The triangle?

If so this is the "Generic Failure Indication" and some of it's warnigs are linked to a beep, which might explain the radio going off.

There are a few reasons this warning is triggered.
Exceeding a set speed limit (if you car has the function and it's set)
Fuel cut off fault.
Stop/start system fault (if fitted)
City Brake control system fault (if fitted)
Parking sensor fault (if fitted)
Oil pressure sensor failure
Water in diesel filter (if it's a diesel)

But perhaps the biggest reason is the system monitors the lighting system and warns of things like blown bulbs.
It self tests the circuits when active for the correct current draw so will only flag up a fault when that circuit is active/on, so a blown brake light bulb will only throw a warning when the brake pedel is pressed.
The warning will stay on until you switch the ignition off and back on, this will reset the system until you press the brake pedal again and the warning will return.

As it seems to effect the indicators, you might have a blown bulb or dodgy connection on that circuit, so it's worth checking all the lights work when they should, including all the indicators.

(it's worth noting this warning system doesn't take well to aftermarket LED bulbs as they don't draw enough power to complete the test so the system thinks there's a blown bulb)

I've had a blown indicator bulb and I seem to remember the indicators "tick" disappearing, the one's that weren't blown flashed but the "tick" was silenced.

Hi thanks for the reply’s I had a flat battery a month ago and changed the headlight bulbs to brighter ones
But I have been driving it about for 2 weeks with them fitted with no problems
The air bag light came on today but went of again
Has anyone got any wiring diagrams to see if theses things are connecting some were
Thanks
Andy

Sadly, no wiring diagrams have been published, and anyway owing to the computer control over CanBus, they may not help. Each of the things you've mentioned is turned on or off by the main body computer (which is what the fusebox at the back of the glovebox is part of). There is a slim possibility of a loose connection to that? Theres a small access hatch in the back of the glovebox that lets you reach the fuses. To get to all the connectors you may need to remove the glovebox (which is quite easy - four screws round the door opening and one at the back inside).

Thanks for the info
I think it might be a loose connection as it comes and goes
I will have the glove box out and have a look
Let’s hope I find something
Thanks
Andy

Do check the connections around the battery too ;)
I have checked the connections around the battery the only one that I’m not to happy with is the clamp on earth lead it’s the quick release type
Thinking of cutting it of and bolt it on to the battery earth
Has anyone had any problems with them
Thanks
Andy

You mean the stock one with the quick release.. or something smaller bolted to it?

Just remember that the posts are tapered..
Try and wriggle is down as far as you can before tightening ;)
It will only go on till it clicks
How can you tighten it
Mine doesn’t look taped

The quick release disconnects the earth lead but leaves the battery monitor in place on tbe battery. That connection does feel ‘loose’ but will be fine. (They are all like that, but we don’t all see the problems you are). The part that remains on the battery has a bolt to tighten the clamp onto the slightly tapered ‘post’ - hence the possible confusion in replies above. I don’t think that’s where your issue will be...

caznandy You say you had a flat battery. Is it the same battery in the car now? Given you also described the battery monitor connection, it sounds like you have Stop/Start. The battery in a stop/start car doesn’t take kindly to going flat and may not be fully charging and unable to hold its charge. I would suggest checking the battery voltage six or more hours after last drive. It should be precisely 12.6 volts (with the engine off). If it’s down to 12.4 it’s only 50% charged and if 12.2v or less, is failing to hold charge and so needs to be replaced. That almost certainly is the problem... a failing battery will lead to all sorts of randomness, warning lights and odd behaviours. If its still on the original battery in a 2013 car with stop/start, that is pretty good going.

Idea of price (I recommend this company as lowest price and next day delivery -- they were a quarter of the price of EuroCarParts listed price for the battery in my other car!! -- and even their permanent 40% off they still wanted over £200, while Tanya was just £97 all in)
https://www.tayna.co.uk/search/EFB 027 - do check this is correct battery for your car - I think it is, having searched for 2013 model Panda 0.9 with Stop/start

I'd second Tayna batteries, used them quite a few times and always been unable to find anyone with better prices.
