Re: Induction Kit help

£189 inc vat and delivery and if you live in the London area oldschool will very often come and fit it as part of the service for free .. you can get hold of him as oldschool on here or through the link at the bottom of my post ..I will say tho he isnt on line much these days so quite often Its quicker to get in touch through me as he usually phones me at least once a day :D

Its by far the easiest way to increase the power on the 1.6 it will give you between 13/16 bhp through the rev range and 116 lbs of touque :) remap will take you upto 120/22 bhp and then you really notice it

Its deffo on the books.... would like to try getting the remap and GSR kit done at the same time.... even at 103... its got plenty of poke... I was suprised how much torque it has... i would of been daft to get rid of it I think...

how often are the RR days???

I got the 1.2 Active, with japstyle backbox, do they do the GSR kit for this? What power gains could i expect? I'm quite suprised with its performance already, it was sitting at 115-120mph and i read on one site it was meant to top at at 104mph?

The 1.2 and 1.4 engines use the same block heads and throttle body so the kit from the 1.4 will fit the 1.2 as well ..I dont think GRS have had the 1.2 stilo on the r/r so as far as power out put I cant comment on it I will ask oldschool about this tho as there are more and more of you with the 1.2/4 engines now getting involved ..and about time as well (y)

not in all cases Rolf!

I don't recall it giving my 1.6 13/16 bhp more!

that you do, but it got 11 out of the zorst if you also recall!

I only remember asking what your final figure was and wasn't told anything about your exhaust..you had a run before the kit was fitted ? I only remember fitting your kit on and not you getting the car r/r tested before any fitting took place

How much is this rolling road? And what happens, tuning? I think i wouldn't mind getting my 1.2 on when back on road, just to check i'm getting this 115-120 out of 80 bhp, then could have gsr kit fitted aswell :D

Can anyone tell me hw easy fittting and induction kit is and does it require removing all the plastic permantly that is on top of the engine? i have a 1.6 btw.
And any recomendation of which induction kit to buy?

Apiro induction kit

Ok im about to have a go at fitting this
very similar to the BMC

any tips / advice regarding the air flow meter ?

does it just fit into the coupling of the manifold inlet and the filter body ?
as ive seen a guide an it says the meter is bolted to the origonal air box obviously this will be removed ?

am i missing something

Re: Apiro induction kit

Which engine do you have?

Just that with the 1.2 fitment I've seen, the BMC CDA fits on the original air intake hose after the airbox is removed and an airfeed connects on the other end to be attached to the grille somewhere I presume.

Pic attached illustrates this, fitment is the same on the Stilo 1.2 by the way as far as I know...

If it's an engine other than the 1.2, I'm sure someone will be happy to help :)

What Induction Kit Should I Buy !?!?

:bang: Really been bothering me this one, i decided on a BMC CDA weeks ago, now i have the money im wondering will it give me a great throaty sound, or will i be better of with an open cone filter ?

im really focused on noise at the moment, just a want to add a bit of roar to my girl. so should i get an exhaust first ?

Missus has just bought me a K&N for Christmas. Never owned one before K&N i mean so don't know about sound like? I'll be sure to let you know though However i did have a powerflow on my cinq sporting that didn't sound to bad if you could ever hear it over the stupidly loud exhaust that i had :D ahh them were the days lol
