Technical Highest Mileage?

youre cars twice as old as mine and done the same amount as miles

mines got 40,180 or something like that now

will be over 41,000 in 8 days about about 3 hours

Ah, it is low then ;)

In the 4 months we have owned the stilo, its done 4K miles, and its not been used much in the past month ... its kind of a spare car now ... ill be using it more from now on.

My 2002 1.2 Punto has 130,000 miles. We had it from new.

Only major problem is the gearbox just died. I replaced it.

I remember in the olden days, when an cheap car had around 70,000 miles, it was ragged-out and the gear-lever was sloppy and the engine burned more oil than petrol and you always had to fiddle with something before it started... ah, the good old days.

Mine is about 90.000 km since 2003. No problem.

Well, dunno about Stylos, it seems like they are a little "young" at cruising the Earth... :p But here are some other examples I can tell:
- my godfathers BMW 318 (1984) did 330k kilometers
- another friends BMW 318 (1985) 316k
both are petrol, still running,
- my fathers Opel Kadett 1.5d (1987) 230k with one general service - he pulls a trailer...

But for one I know is my friends WV Golf II 1.9d that was sold with 450k kilometers and still running.... that diesels engine could ignite at -15 Celsius like nothing. And a little Renault 4tl in newspapers with half million kilometers....

I have to mention that I have heard of cars over 1.000.000. kilometers! :worship:Not a joke! Mercedes 123 diesel - Turks know it to be like a mule and they do manage to make such distances!!! That engine sounds like thunder so here in Serbia we call them "hammers".:D

Well, one should ask this question in 15-20 years, there should be some Stylos still alive here....

Mine has just reached 100.000km few days ago.

Well, its nothing much, but thats not what I wanted to say anyway.

What I wanted to say is that my mechanic had been servicing some JTD's that have past 300.000km, and (as he say) have never had to open (rebuild) any of those. Many things can break down on Stilo JTD's but the engine itself is long lasting however hard and abusive life it has.

:)(y)

Greetengs!

:D I'm near to 160.000 Km, that is 99.500 miles is it not?
Fiat Stilo Dynamic 1.9 JTD 5 door from 2003.

Nearly 90k in the Stilo Abarth and it still runs fine. My golf MK3 had 140k and ran better than my Pug 206 with only 35k.

Just passed 100,000 miles tonight and touch wood, havent had any warning lights or problems for couple of months now!! Perhap my thinking of changing to a Honda Accord has made it behave :D

mine JTD is at 113K :slayer:

...and drives well, gearbox is smooth like new.

Our 04 plate 1.9 JTD MW is approaching 54k miles - we've done 16k in the last year, and had loads of repair work done on it since January.

New drive shaft, headlight, boot lock(!), front coil spring, timing built (5 years old), ...

Not much on mine..Bought with 14k on the clock, now got 24k a year on..
