For me it was the tail lights that would not turn on reliably, and when they did the vibrations of driving would soon turn them off again.
Had a similar incident where side lights on one side went off after about 10 seconds. Cause was a bulb with too high a rating (15W vs 10W). Must be some sort of current detection system in the BCM. Perhaps that is what is happening in this case?
