this is a new issue which started on the trip just ended.
When unplugged from the campsite supply, it shows that it is looking for gas and won't go to habitation automatically when gas is off.
Only work around is turn it off and back on again.
Thanks as always

There is often a whats called a split charge relay in the towing vhicle and in van electronics charge circuit to prevent the fridge running on 12v unless the vehicle engine and alternator are working. They use a fair wattage and quickly flatten 12v batteries. Check with the engine runningand see if it is powered up.

You would not want to run an absorption fridge, either 3 Way, or AES, from a habitation battery. The load taken would flatten the habitation battery in a few hours. The exception may be when excess solar power is available. Abaorbtion fridges are normally connected so that the fridge can only run on 12V when the engine is running.
