Technical has key got a transponder in it?

Seems to be a solid rubbery key. Not a remote, obviously. We've only got one key so I'd like a spare - but is it likely to be a transponder key if it doesn't open?

All cars keys for the like 20 years or so have imboliser chips in them

Yes you're right - I see now - and a Tube video showing how to cut one open

Yes has transponder

Just take it to a locksmith and ask for it to be cloned

Around £30-50 seems to be the going rate for a none remote
