I need to loose some weight, 18 stone is just too heavy. There's no way I could stick to a diet so exercise is my only option. Got myself a new road bike and plan to cycle as often as I can to hopefully loose a stone or two.

This was my first run using Endomondo, 7.5 miles in 30 minutes.

Is anyone else using it or tried it(http://www.endomondo.com)?

I use endomondo pro while running walking and cycling. I don't share my routes tho as I don't really want my start and end point I.e. my house on the net for all to see. It's also decent if you wanna compare average speeds and distances on your commute lol.

Is Endomondo Pro the same as Endomondo Premium? I'm using the premium version.

I can see why some people might worry about their start and end points being on the net, it doesn't bother me, its not difficult to find out someones address if you really want it so I'm not bothered about my home being out there. Most people in the Stilo section have been to my home so not really worth worrying ... lol

I don't commute as I work from home(sort of), just ride for pleasure or sport I guess. I do use the compare thing, good to see I knocked 4 minutes of my last time.

I use Endomondo Pro as well, for walking and cycling - plus it also links to my Fitbit One :)

I do intend to start fell walking again so hope to use the app for that too. Whats FitBit ?

I use mapmywalk.
I find it handy because I can 'draw' a route online (with a second window open showing public rights of way).
I can then email said route to myself & when it comes into my phone I simply click the link & it's ready to follow.
The OH wondered how good it was during a summer walk - we sat on a hay bale some 20ft off the path & it definitely showed that we had gone off the planned route.
I find it really handy when we go on hols as I can plan loads of walks beforehand.
Alternatively, if I just fancy walking where the fancy takes me, I can simply allow it to record my route.
My friend uses back country something or other to log his daily jog.
I seem to remember trying endomondo at one point & didn't really get on with it.
