don't matter if there fog or Driving Lights they still illegal if they dazzel people coming the other way
I remember when 'driving' lights were those fitted above the bumper inbetween the headlights, and front 'fog' lights were those fitted below the bumper.
There used to be Construction and Use guidelines, that stipulated that all lights below a certain height - i.e. below bumper level - were subjected to the same restrictions as fog lights. So it doesn't matter if they were driving lights or fog lights, they were still covered by the same regulations. However, I can't find this piece of legislation anymore, so don't know if it has changed?
Also, driving with sidelights and front fog lights at night is contravening road traffic regulations! Regardless of using front fog lights, dipped headlights should be used when driving at night. Sidelights used to be called parking lights, and were not meant to be used for driving.
Thing that gets me, is why do all the Chavs think it is 'cool' to drive around with front fogs on all the time? I see badly modified Clio's and Saxo's (and all the other Chav cars), and they all seem to have got their front fogs stuck on
ALL the time :bang:
Seraph I quite agree with you! Middle lane hoggers or the MLOC (Middle Lane Owners Club) are a pain in the butt. Even worse than that is the outside lane hoggers, always prevailent in the small hours of the morning when the M1 starts at Brent Cross. The number of times I've seen some idiot car sit in the outside lane of the empty motorway for mile after mile, even going past signs that clearly state 'Keep Left Unless Overtaking'. Duh! :shakehead
One of my pet hates are filter lanes, where two lanes go down to one. They seem to be all over the place now, and you can guarantee that most cars will filter to the left lane with plenty of time before the right lane ends. However, there are ALWAYS some selfish :tosser: tw@ts who rush down the outside and try and cut in at the last second, normally causing the cars on the inner lane to brake and bunch up. Thing that gets me is that there would be warnings for at least half a mile that the lanes were merging. Inconsiderate b@st@rds!
