fiat panda 1.2 misfire

yes the plugs where in a sealed box the bosch brand supposed to be a good name but on the coil packs i bought from eurocar parts had the bosch brand on them and made in china in small print underneath bosch name but up to now they aint at fault as for the fault codes it was p0300 - p0302 tested at 3 garages and all 3 said its a generic electrical fault

there is now another problem it wont tick over when its parked up but will if i have the car moving and not in gear the revs will stay at about 900 rpm but when the panda is sat still the revs drop below 800 rpm then cuts out i went to the breakers yard bought another throttle housing for £15 run great for 30 mins then doing the same cuts out on tick over but only when the panda is sat still :bang: any ideas what this could be ?

I've had this on a few of my old cars, but they wern't Fiats. On those it usually pointed to a split or disconnected vacuum pipe.

Hi

Glad you sorted the problem :) I am having kinda similar problems with a Punto 1.2 8v. I might try NGK's, I have Bosch FR7DC+ in now, worked for at few months and the car started misfiring. dont know if it's the plugs, but it might be worth a try.

Which model NGK did you put in? BKR5EZ?

Jock,

I stopped using brass compression fittings a long time ago preferring Hep2o or PolyPlumb fittings - far more reliable even than soldered fittings. But I'm not impressed by JG which always feel insecure. I also prefer the plastic pipes as they can be "cabled" though floor joists needing even fewer fittings. No more nasty notches to weaken the joist or cause noisy floorboards.

The only time I ever had a problem was when I had "borrowed" a grab ring and stupidly put the offending fitting back in the box. D'Oh.
