Hi, I am tnuz, from the netherlands.

I have not owned a car for 7 years. Now i am the proud owner of a Black metallic Fiat Panda 1.2 8v Classe
Before that i had a lot of different cars from various brands including VW, BMW and Volvo and others.

I have been into modified cars since my first car, and i love the technical stuff.
Throughout the years there was always one area of big importance and that is Car Audio.
As a musician (bassplayer/electronic music producer) and audio nerd i have been into car audio before i had a car.
I have a lot of background knowledge about cars and what makes them tick.
I do mostly diagnostics and electronics at a high level at a local garage. And i have wrenching skills.
Thats it for now. Plans for the panda include a big audio system with multiple amps and a 2nd battery for supporting it.
But it does not stop there. I like to modify everything to my taste and will go way further than is considered normal.

I hope i can contribute to this forum.

Hi and welcome to the forum, be interesting to see what you do,

Thanks!

I will be starting with the audio system. I have 3 Clarion amps that will be going in.
A 12 Inch Polk Sub and 4 x 16,5cm (6,5 Inch) Woofers with seperate tweeters for al 4 doors.
I will use a small 20ah agm battery with an intelligent relay to separate it from the main starter battery.

First step is for tomorrow and that will be removing the seats front and rear to gain proper acces to the
floor, There i will put in a lot of cables. 50mm2 powercable, speaker wires, and signal wires. Then its on
to the sound deadening.

Speakers will be mounted in the original locations using a stepped stack of rings made out of mdf.
I have a cnc machine so i dont have to make it all by hand, but i will need to design it in cad.

If there is interest i can make a seperate thread for the mods

Sounds like you are building on previous experience 😎

Ok, i will make a topic/thread there. will be interesting i hope.

Yes i do have 'some' previous experience.
I had a old model suzuki swift with all rear trim and seats removed.
Half wall system, 2x Atomic apx 12 inch dvc subs, 4 Spl dynamics EXT-3000D amps bridged to 2 bigger amps to make aproximatly 6300 Watts RMS per amp/woofer. powered by 4 northstar 120Ah battery's in paralell. And of course a bigger alternator. put out in excess of 147 Db on termlab. Clarion headunit was run outside of the car because of the immense pressure in the cabin. welded all holes to the outside (heater, fresh air intake, vents behind rear bumper) and used ratchet straps to keep the doors as sealed as possible and some friends sitting on the rear hatch to keep that down. there could be made more power but the power system was at max capacity. Won a lot of Db drag competitions with that car. ever since then i have kept on building and speccing audio systems of different sizes and requirements.
