Its possible to get used to hard tooth brushes, but the gums can ache if its too tough, i use an electric toothbrush.Personally I drink pint mugs of tea with no sugar and lots of milk or pints mugs of black filter coffee that I grind the beans and a half spoon of brown sugar.
I do clean my teeth three times a day with a hard tooth brush not electric, my dentist tell me off, but I still have most of my teeth.![]()

Any kind of stomach upset is going to be nightmarish lolI class a carrier bag as a last resort and a “bad night”
Only crap coffee, I get my beans delivered Continental and Brazil dark roast .It was covid that ended my coffee overload, i've not had that many fillings since i stopped with the sugary coffee. Coffee is bad for the stomach too, an irritant, so i only have it has a treat, when away in hotels etc.

I don't have any caffeine intake past about 6pm, it will keep me awake for sure. I do occasionally get coffee headaches, but i can manage things, mostly...Only crap coffee, I get my beans delivered Continental and Brazil dark roast .
I used to go to auctions and at the end of the day my head would be ringing, one time I switched to hot chocolate at same stall and had the answer, crap instant coffee.
I used to get my beans locally before shop closed and one day the guy in front of me said he was not going to drink coffee any more as he couldn't get a nights sleep, at the time I could drink a pint of my black coffee before bed and sleep for eight to nine hours. I still get most of that sleep these days as long as the fluid intake is reduced before bed. Your time will come young man.![]()
I used to drink lots of coffee, 6-8 cups a day, i would buzz, but i've got a lot of fillings, and now its impossible to get an NHS densist i've had to stop the coffee and limit the caffeine![]()

Coffee has always given me problems if I drink too much, feeling hyper, twitchy and even getting shaky hands. Then, about a year ago I thought I had a serious problem with my guts - I won't go into detail but it was difficult to control myself and altogether unpleasant. Doctor had no idea (I was worried it might be something serious) but then I wondered if it might be because I was drinking maybe 5 or 6 mugs of strong cuppaccino a day. (I really love cuppaccino) So I stopped and within a few days I was back to normal. I now limit myself to one cup per day and sometimes will go a couple of days without. Guts are back to normal and I feel so much better overall. This outcome has really surprised me, didn't know coffee was quite so toxic? It was covid that ended my coffee overload, i've not had that many fillings since i stopped with the sugary coffee. What do you think is in the Monster?I don't have any caffeine intake past about 6pm, it will keep me awake for sure. I do occasionally get coffee headaches, but i can manage things, mostly...![]()
Coffee does have a slight association with stomach cancer, i'm aware of that, and when i had a lot of coffee i could feel a "ball of inflammation" in my gut, always in the same place. So its just aswell i stopped.Coffee has always given me problems if I drink too much, feeling hyper, twitchy and even getting shaky hands. Like red wine, anything you like is apparently bad for you.Coffee does have a slight association with stomach cancer, i'm aware of that, and when i had a lot of coffee i could feel a "ball of inflammation" in my gut, always in the same place. So its just aswell i stopped.
They'll just have to ask someone wise instead, and its not meLike red wine, anything you like is apparently bad for you.
By the way any one trying to gain advice on their Mot failure reading this thread will probably give up or die of old age.![]()
Calculating brake efficiency
For most vehicles the MOT testing service will calculate brake efficiencies automatically.
If MTS is not working, add the brake efforts from each wheel for the system that is being tested and carry out the following calculation:
![]()
The vehicle test weight will depend on the vehicle test class.
For Classes 3 and 4 use the weight shown by the brake test equipment.
Manually calculate the service brake test results. Note: the percentage efficiency for each control still has to be met.
Efficiency % = (Total brake effort from control 1)/(Vehicle test weight) x 100
Efficiency % = (Total brake effort from control 2)/(Vehicle test weight) x 100
M1 vehicles having a service brake operating on at least 4 wheels and which were first used before 1 September 2010 50%
M1 vehicles having a service brake operating on at least 4 wheels and which were first used on or after 1 September 2010 58%
Class 4
Class 4 vehicles can be:
- cars, passenger vehicles, motor caravans, private hire vehicles, motor tricycles, quadricycles and dual purpose vehicles in all cases with up to eight passenger seats
- goods vehicles not exceeding 3,000kg design gross weight (DGW)
- taxis and ambulances with up to eight passenger seats
- passenger vehicles, ambulances, motor caravans and dual purpose vehicles with nine to twelve passenger seats
Cars, passenger vehicles, motor caravans, private hire vehicles, motor tricycles, quadricycles and dual purpose vehicles in all cases with up to eight passenger seats
They can be category L5e, L6e, L7e, M1 or N1.
Their first test will be required after 3 years.
Goods vehicles not exceeding 3,000kg design gross weight (DGW)
They will be category N1.
Their first test will be required after 3 years.
Taxis and ambulances with up to eight passenger seats
They will be category M1.
Their first test will be required after 1 year.
Passenger vehicles, ambulances, motor caravans and dual purpose vehicles with nine to twelve passenger seats
1 kgf is 9.81 Newton or the force with which a weight of 1 kg pushes against the ground (if placed on the ground).
The front brakes are rather weak, and I would consider an overall efficiency of only 55% of vehicle weight to be weak. Braking performance is therefore much weaker than a car with performance brakes which would allow for 95% of efficiency, for example. The limit for M1 vehicles is 50% (if used before 1. September 2010)
Also the difference between front and rear should be bigger in my opinion, like 3:1.
By memory, on my Abarth Punto Evo (around 1130 kg by memory) I got something over 400 front and around 130 rear. Not sure if it was the same unit, though.

Brembo: brake efficiency going well beyond 100% (ChatGPT calculated it to reach 140% which is incredible) https://www.brembo.com/en/news-archive/best-ten-car-braking-system Only possible with special tyres in my opinion.
