the engine and box arnt attached to the subframe on the 20v

you will need to undo the suspension, subframe and remove these, then you can get the gearbox off with a bit of swearing and blood

how much of the suspention do I have to remove? not the lower arms and all that I hope

Struts and bits are no problem. Ill work around it if it isnt just the struts...

front bumper off wit hthe rad out etc will make for easier access too... gonna take me ages

might be easiest to detach the hubs from the strut and the lower arm to get it out with the driveshaft in place....

how is the driveshaft attatched at the box end? in a cinq you can pull it out to detatch it.. is it more compliated in the bravo?

on a cinq you unbolt the bottom of the strut (or remove completly depending on what ur doing) and then you tilt the hub all the way to one side and you can pop the drive shaft out at the gear box end as its literly just resting in the slot, not physicaly attatched in anyway.

there are 6 bolts holding the shaft to the box, you can remove them from within the arch but the nuts behind are pretty difficult to reach to get back on even with my small hands, you might be able to get access from the top under the battery tray

why dont haynes cover this they always do that, cover all the small engined cars but dont bother with the one that you actually need help fixing
