General I want an HGT!

I'm sure this is asked a lot, but I'm seeking out an HGT somehow. My second car ever back in the day was a lightly modded black HGT, and I've had 34 cars since then, including some 700+hp monsters, but that Fiat was one of the best of the lot. I want to get one, partly to relive my youth, partly to keep something on the road that should still be here. I very much doubt my ACTUAL car would still be around, it had the reg M12 HGT, so maybe someone knows the history but to be honest I'm after any HGT, even if it needs a restoration. Understand these are few and far between, but if anyone knows of one or decides to sell, please think of me!

There are about a dozen on the road now according to HowManyLeft.co.uk

And your specific car M12HGT was last seen on the road when it's last MOT expired nearly 13 years ago to the day. (last MOT 26/11/2009, and expired 26/11/2010).

Although they are pretty rare there was one recently for sale on Facebook market place and there was one on ebay back in september, so they do still occasionally come up for sale. The might only be 12 on the road but there are many shown as SORN so plenty in people's drive ways looking for someone to give them a new life.

May be worth your while getting in contact with some Italian car specialists to see if they hear of any for sale as they often have customers of these sorts of rare cars who might hint they are thinking of selling their car.

If you really really want a HGT i can sell you mine, but you will have 2 problems. First one its left hand drive and the second is im about 3000km away from you.

I have 3 of them:
- 1 I’m keeping
- 1 is rotten and will likely be used for parts and engine swap when I build my ultimate Bravo from an 80sx (a 4th Bravo)
- The other I’m in the process of making mint and will be for sale sometime next year if you’re still interested then. Heraldic Blue, 69k miles, FSH, air con, electric sunroof, rust free. Completely refreshed underneath and glass out respray. I’d keep this one if I didn’t prefer the colour of the first one I mentioned.

I have a 2000 2.0hgt155 which has failed it's MOT on rusted front subframe,nearside front suspension pin or bush excessively worn,n/s and o/s front anti roll bar pin or bush excessively worn.

Auto sportivo had one for sale recently on eBay and Facebook market place as a project but with all parts to restore it. They’re based in Bedfordshire, Ant the guy who runs it has a YouTube channel and is often trading 90s fiats
