Thanks Doc, that's good news.

Will get the mine fitted as soon as my beloved barchetta comes back from the bodyshop.

Sounds like a plan (y)

we should try and convince lanciaman to come down from aberdeen and meet us half way. He needs an excuse to take his custom cover off and get it dirty. I take it from lrbs's comment yours is a black riviera too so that should turn a few heads :slayer: I start my new job in 3 weeks and I have every weekend off( the first time in my employment career, cant wait):D so any weekend is good. I am going on the scottish barchetta club run to arran on the 13th of may so dont know whether you are up for that????

Lanciaman would be up for a half way meet. Dont want to run the mileage up dont you know :p

Hi all,

Are there any issues with the HID lights passing MOT?

Can't think why there should be but wanted to get the collective wisdom of the forum before I install mine (before or after the next MOT).

Rich

As the Doc said mine went through the MOT last week with the HID's fitted. The great thing about the HID mod is that if it had failed the MOT for any reason it takes 10 mins to convert back to the original bulb's for the MOT, and then another 10 mins to convert back to HID after passing!!

With your shiny new paintwork a set of clear, crisp HID light's would set your car off well!! Will you post a couple of piccies up once she's back from the bodyshop? (y)

Doc,

given the amount of time your B spends jacked up and on axle stands, wouldn't it be a nice mod to install hydraulic (or hydropneumatic) lifters/jacks/struts directly on the B, like some F1 or group N racecars ?
Then it would only require a push of compressed air, and the B is off the ground on its struts.

:)

My headlight bulbs and parking lights turned up today just 20 hours after placing the order. :) I dont know if I will be happy with the colour of the main beam lights against the HID kit bulbs but we will see. If not I will put these Osram Nightbraker lights in my front fogs and order the Philips Blue Vision H1.

Update: Just picked up the Philips blue Vision off eBay.

What I want is my side lights and main beam to all look the same blue ish white range of my Xenon HID kit. This can only be done with fake blue 3400k temperature affect bulbs.
