Alan.D said:Sorry Jaff the screws had either been tightened too much leaving a lip on the end of the screw or the O rings had gone but even after changing them they still didn't work. If I couldn't buy a new carb I would get it reconditioned from a propper carb shop and if it goes wrong then it's their fault.
It's not an item to mess with I've stripped & re-built carbs in the past and they worked perfectly I stripped & rebuilt the carb in the Sisley and it was crap never ran at allhense the new one from e-bay, in between times tried all the spare carbs I had took them to a mate and had the co measured & couldn't adjust it in any of them they all ran at about 4% even though the screws seemed fine in two of them

Before you splash out on a new carb...are you certain that your fuel pump is working when you rev up past idle ? I've had three fail, but they worked fine whilst idling.
If you have the steel tank and it has been run low, is the filter in the tank partially blocked with rust ?
Inside the carb, on the rhs (from the front) is a little black plastic, semi-circular cover. Inside this cover, are the pieces conected up ?
I'll keep thinking, but it's really hurting now .........![]()
