MAssive MoT failure!

The dreaded rear subframe bushes. As well as usual stuff - drop links etc.

Along with the poor running issue I have which I think is a blocked EGR.

Most stuff I can do myself but I haven't got time at the moment due to other stuff (house extension!). Garage quoted me two grand to do the work cos it's a new sub frame job.

Scrap time?

Hi,this is a bit cheeky of me being a new user but I'm selling my Multipla from next week. It had a new rear cross member fitted less than 2 years ago. It has other issues though, live no 2nd or 4th gear though

Is it just the subframe bushes, or has it got rust problems too?

That's the annoying thing. The body is in fantastic shape. No rust anywhere. Subframe is fine too.

I've just bought a Zafira as I need a car but the Multi is sitting on the drive wondering why I'm ignoring her.

If I wasn't so busy at the moment I'd fix her up. It would keep me quiet in the evenings but I'm trying to finish the house extension. Bad freaking timing!

You can get sub frame bushes .
Why not get the building finished then fix the multi then get rid Vauxhall.
I'm in the same boat bar the Vauxhall.

Paddynabs - a few weeks with the Zafira and you'll wish you hadn't got rid of the Multipla. So don't!

As jackwhoo says, the subframe bushes are available from several sellers on ebay now. Why not buy a pair of the offending ones (probably the front ones - they always seem to be the ones to go first) and get your garage to fit them? Dropping the rear subframe is a pretty easy job. Burning/hammering the old ones out doesn't take long either; and if your garage has got a press, they'll make light work of fitting the new ones.

Update! I've not got anywhere fixing the Multipla. And recent family tragedies have put everything on the back burner. So, I might have donated the car to Practical Classics! They are keen on the story angle of scrapping 21st century cars due to lack of manufacturer support etc so they are thinking about it. I'd rather give the car away and see it live again than scrap it.

It hasn't move in four weeks and the bloody thing started first go this afternoon!

ALSO does any one want to buy some genuine Multipla roof bars?
