Hopefully a different flavour.
Could be a marketing idea from the jam manufacturer.

In the UK, some places get a sticker to wear, others nothing. No jam here.

Yup, wife got Jam too. Apple and cinnamon

Not complaining

Might get more in 4 weeks when we go for the follow up jabs

I got a sticker, now lives in the glove box of the car, weirdly wouldn’t stick to clothes but stuck to plastic

I didn't get anything apart from the Jab! stickers and Jam, you lucky people
I must say the organisation at Westpoint Exeter was spot on. If you arrived early you were asked to remain in your vehicle until 10 minutes before your appointed time. It took 10 mins to get through the paperwork and queue system and had my Jab at exactly the allotted time, because I was driving, I had to wait for 15 minutes before leaving, there seemed to be a continuous flow of people and everything was kept sanitised, even the chairs in the post vaccine waiting area.
The best bit is the Panda had a good 130 mile run

I think it is fantastic. Whatever any views people might have on the current extended lock down period etc. the vacination programme just shows what can be achieved when there is a simple objective in place without political jockeying for position . First class effort in my humble opinion.

Yes, and when responsibility for rolling out a programme is entrusted to those who know what they are doing. It's been a triumph for the NHS. What a contrast to Test and Trace, entrusted to a legion of very highly paid private sector "consultants" with MBAs but no effing clue about how to run a public health programme.

Just got a text message to book my 1st jab.
Booked for 11:30 on Saturday.

Just had my second vaccine today. The needle seemed a foot long and was sore, but that’s just my fear of needles I do feel fine and no side affects so far.

So after the Jab, I had a bit of a horrible day, woke up at 4 am red hot and with a massive headache. for the rest of the day it seemed every muscle and joint ached this lasted for 24 hours, still got a fuzzy head and tender arm but not as bad as it was. Guessing my immune system is doing its job, I hope the second Jab is a bit easier to live with.
If you're working, after my experience, I would book the following day after a jab off sick because you may well be.........

Did you have the Astra Zeneca or the Pfizer? I hear from people who have had either that the second dose of Astra Zeneca is better but the second dose of Pfizer is worse.

My wife has had both doses of Pfizer now and she was defiantly worse after the second one.

It was the Astra Zeneca, don't get me wrong, knowing how important this vaccine is I would willingly suffer the consequences again, just want to be better prepared next time

I received my letter yesterday
Jab will be 10 mins from the house..
And the day before the news reckon that services will start to be effected by European pressures

Ive already had the DVT and PE that are supposedly the risks..

I had the Pfizer yesterday, second vaccine, woke up this morning fine. Obviously it affects some people differently.

I had a thought about this, I have been very careful and kept away from the infected hordes (no disrespect intended!)so have more than likely not been infected knowingly or not, so if the vaccine is the first time my system has come into contact with Covid of any sort, the reaction would be a lot worse, if how I felt was minor compared to 'the real thing' I am glad I have spent the last 12 months in the shadows as I would possibly ended up in an ICU, with long Covid or not here anymore.

Both me and the wife have had the first Astra Zeneca jab,
I had a very slight muzzy head for about 3 hours the day
after but nothing else the wife nothing at all, I have had
the blood test to see if I have had Covid before the jab as
part of a program to see how it had spread and that came
back negative so I haven't had it.

Nice to hear folks experiences of the jab and how it affects some people more than others. For me with Pfizer, sore arm for two days but that was it, let’s see what the 2nd jab brings.

As a coincidence me and the wife both went down with a horrendous cold but so did the 2 kids, the eldest had to go on antibiotics to help clear up her chest. We get COVID tested every 3 days here to allow us to leave or village and all tests came back negative. So seems just coincidence we got ill right after the jab as our kids are only 3 and the other 8 months so they never got the jab

BTW hate the throat swab, just makes me gag so much, so I will stick with the nose test. There is a bus doing 24/7 tests about 5 miles from us. Went there Sunday evening at 22:30, waited 5 mins for the test then had to wait outside in a blizzard for 15mins for the results. So all in all a great service and well run

I had the AZ and just felt tired for a few hours with a tender patch on my arm for a week.

Had 1st dose of AZ this morning.
Walked there & back, so no waiting required. Driving & cycling had to wait.

So far it feels like someone has injected something in my arm, which I'm glad, as they did!

A doctor said on TV the other day that, in general, adverse reaction to the AZ jab is worse for the first dose than the second. The reverse is so for the Pfizer. Of course, each individual will be different.

I had my first AZ dose about a month ago, no sore arm but a slight fever overnight, fixed with paracetamol. I had a slightly worse reaction to my flu jab last September, again totally sorted by paracetamol. May take some anyway after my second AZ jab as a pre-emptive strike!
