General confused on wheel fitting, offset, pcd etc

basically im thinking of getting 17's for my stilo but im unsure what offset i can get,

theres a link to some im thinking of getting but i want to know whether they would be ok, is the offset like a fixed thing or is their lineancy

The offset (ET) will be in your OH – but there’s more than that to consider.

The ideal match (I believe) would be: 7Jx17, Bore=58.1, PCD=98, ET=41, c/w 215/45R17 tyres. Whereas the set on offer are 7Jx17, Bore=?, PCD=100 (or 108), ET=40, c/w tyres 205/40R17. The elements are correctable with mods – but is it worth the hassle?

What are the wheels off? a Ford?
