One of mine went recently and it obviously failed its MOT this week. My garage told me they'd had trouble sourcing any and are getting them (a pair) from FIAT UK.

Mines a 2017 1.6 Elite. Looking at this forum it was only a matter of time until one / both went...

Shop 4 look like they sell them after a email special order so 7-10 days not the cheepest of things however at £112 surprised nobody other then fiat make these yet that cars have been around for nearly 5 years now

I've got a part number for the springs on a 1.4
52097409

It's on back order however and earlyest date for delivery is 3/3 ordered by shop4parts but as a original part it's coming direct from fiat pretty more service from fiat again no fault of shop4parts of cause

If the Tipo really is largely made from existing Fiat components, then I would not be surprised if there is a direct replacement from ,say. 500x. But I can't find any compatibility info. (or comparative dimensions) on the net.
I have kept a broken spring from a previous break so that I can start hunting spring pairs of similar dimensions. I have had 3 break so far. The point of break always the last twist of the coil at the bottom. Have run for 3 months with a broken spring with care but no obvious handling compromises.Fiat dealers always report back order. The only after market parts are lowering springs which I dont want. There are very few Tipos in breaker yards. But I still have faith in my Tipo which is still going strong at 96k

The part number is unique to the tipo at least on the 1.4
Unfortunately the only working copy of keyeper I found online has been taken down a while ago so hard to check parts now

Chris, what side did you need this for? On shop4parts they have two OEM numbers for the same front coil spring 52097409 and 52058435. The price is £240 now  I can find the first OEM on ebay a bit cheaper, but there is nothing on the 52058435.

When I asked the seller whether 52097409 fits my 2017 Fiat Tipo 1.4, they told me to search for the second OEM, as the other one is not the right one.

Full box of springs here if you need them .. removed from a 1.4 t-jet 2019 SW

Kind Regards
