Hi all. Got into the Tipo this morning (2019 1.4 easy plus) to an almighty bang! a cursory look showed nothing obvious but the drive to work was accompanied by a metallic jangling when going over bumps. On arriving at work I turned to full lock for a better view, and withdrew the bottom coil from the spring! clean snap, no sign of rusting on the broken face. Unexpected for a 23k mile car. Anyone else had a spring failure? I would rather shoot myself in the face than buy a replacement from my main dealer, so any recommendations for purchasing a new one gladly received.
Parts score so far this year is 1x instrument cluster, 2x droplinks, 1x tear silencer and a battery.

Update! I bought a used complete leg off Ebay..... just to get a message that, unfortunately, it had already been sold. I found a new spring on Autodoc and bought that..... Evri lost it ! I ended up with a complete set of lowering springs from..... wait for it.... Amazon! Now, it did fail the mot on the broken spring and during this debacle the window for a free retest came and went, but I now have a complete set of -25mm eibachs fitted for less than the cost of a single front spring from the dealers. Fitted myself and not too problematic at all will see how the car is with these. Oh and the spring turned up from Evri so I've decided to keep a set of original springs "just in case" To be honest, parts availability has been the only downside to 6 years of Tipo ownership..... but it is quite a big downside, alongside the abysmally dealer support I have had.
