cheap dash cam?

After a near miss on the m5 with a motor home deciding to cut across when I was along Sid him I've decided I really could do with a camera setup in the car I've also got some track time coming up which I want to use the cam at as well so what's the current thinking I've got about £50 to spend what shall I buy was looking at the dvr207 any good? What type of sd card do I need to get?had a look on the dash cam talk site which recommends it

I'd get a twin cam setup, like the £30-35 HD ones listed earlier in this thread (y)

The F70N twin cam jobbie is quite decent for the price. Having the rear cam is also a bonus when you can prove the nobs are tailgating or whatever.

Although I am tempted to get a couple of the new keyfob cams, have one front & one rear - (they are a tad pricey at the moment @ approx £50 each.

One of the posters on the dashcam thread said they were making a dual cam to be released later this year, reckons it'll have dual SD card slots (one per cam) which is a better solution

Is this the best place to ask questions about my cam or a new thread?

what does this mean, a box that popped up in the middle?

Went to review footage from one of my cameras (my newest dual cam) and discovered the dvr is having problems recording from the rear cam.
tried a different lens - same problem.
tried the new lens on my old cam & it's OK. therefore, it's the dvr itself.
Got onto the seller & they ignored me for a week so opened an ebay case - that got their attention.
Upshot is, they want me to return the whole package rather than just the dvr. I pointed out to them that it'd cost them far more but it seems that the chinese sellers don't have a policy of refunding return postage - even for faulty goods!
I'd rather keep the camera & use it as a second cam. Pointless me being a tenner down on the deal & having nothing to show for it!

Is the pic freezing and a flickering band appearing?

Tried loads of combinations.
New lens in my older cam, old lens in this new cam, I have at least 6 different SD cards, mainly 32gig but also 16gig, 8 gig and lower class.
Definitely the dvr itself.
The front cam footage is perfect.
Interestingly, when you enlarge the pic from the rear cam on the screen, it also looks perfect.

Have you guys decided which is the best dual input cam to get yet?

I still like the F70, despite the faillings of this new one (it's the 60fps version).

A manufacturer on the dashcam forums reckons he's bringing out a dual cam later in the year - but with 2 SD cards (one for each lens). sounds promising if the tech & the price are good.

Techmoan's reviewed a new action cam. sub $100 (around £60) and he's really drooling over the quality of video.

Camera seems a bit chunky & would be better with a black case - but not insurmountable.
If |I hadn't wasted my money on the DR32 I'd seriously consider this one.

The best action camera under $100. The SJ1000 budget 1080p multi-purpose waterproof action cam. - YouTube

ESPECIALLY when not your fault, the :tosser: always seems to make the most noise - and they seem to be really convincing as well.
I had the guy ranting & raving about how it was ALL my fault etc.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just give me your insurance, they can sort it out.
Let them watch the dashcam footage . o point getting into arguments with these idiots.

luckily this guy didnt put up a stinky about who was at fault, took insurance details for my backup just incase the guy decides to worm his way out of it, as my car is due in body shop on monday and a nice £520 bill has landed on his lap...i gave him that option by the way. so dreading it if he f**ks me over car wont be released without payment, i know risky how this is getting dealt with but he wont budge in giving me the money direct and insists on paying body shop directly:banghead:

one can hope this actually goes to plan!
