OK, picked up my new 808 #18 DR32 from the post office this morning & did a little drive around.
I mounted the cam atop my radio binnacle (Doblo) so it's mid screen. The cam flips the vid to the viewscreen (but not the time/date

) - and for some strange reason, it doesn't save the flipped version - previous cams have flipped everything AND saved it like this. Fortunately, my video editing software has the facility to flip the video.
I started in 720p @60fps then changed the setting to 1080 @30fps (choice of 720 @30 or 60fps and 1080 @30fps).
In 1080p, the video 'lost' the front edge of my bonnet - so it looks like the camera is further forward rather than having the same view but more detailed. I had this strange idea that 1080 would keep the same view, just record in finer detail (so a larger filesize) - I'm an old fart, what do I know?
Anyhoo, I added a third clip to the mix, this was footage taken from my existing dashcam - the cheapo dual cam mounted beside my rear view mirror, just to give a comparison.
The sound recording on the dual cam is bad but the sound recording on the DR32 is appalling - note the clarity at the midpoint of clips 1&2 where I stop to change from 720 to 1080. The cam really is affected by the engine.
And it didn't sound like that on the seller's YT link
I'll be contacting them to see what they say & come back with their answers.
Anyhoo, the moment none of you have been waiting for...
