Technical Center console (armrest) compartment lock replacement

Hi,
my B came without the lock assembly (12; part nr. 46724783) in the center console compartment. I suppose I can replace it with another one, if I found any.
Is there a way to "re-code" the lock cylinder to match my key I use for everything else?

I'm not sure how the lock looks like, but it should be possible. You have to find a car lock specialist, not a shop in a shopping mall.

I've seen a couple of them making miracles

I googled the part number, it seems that it is available in a hungarian shop. Perhaps check at the dealership?
