Technical door lock

I have a door lock (driver's side ehich when you turn to lock meets resistance. The central locking still works from the passenger side to I surmise this is the lock only. I have read the guide on how to fix the lock which terrifies me somewhat and am wondering whether it would be better to replace the lock. I realize that an extra key would be needed. Any votes for a suitable supplier would be welcome
