yeah the reboot has really slowed it down. how is that possible

Nothing can be done about the speed ... the box is getting absolutely hammered - over 1gig of transfer yesterday

It is July 2005, not 2007! For some, 3 year warranty about to expire.

Man, even this one is unstable - crashed 6 times since I setup the monitoring.

It looks like it's just traffic volume that crashes it, not the version itself.

Well let's test it for a bit more, can always reinstall the newer one later on

Adjusted monitoring to every 5 minutes - will keep it running a lot better. (reboot time is like 30 seconds - clean machine with just eper on it!)

Could we not setup a few eper servers? Is the server a windows box? Could we run vmware? Get an array of eper hosts.

Yup funny story - Eper has actually locked up the whole machine, it won't respond at all.

Been waiting for the DC to reboot it for the last 2 hours now ....

The problem with using VMWare (or equivilant) is I'd need to buy another Windows license for each virtual copy it ran

Not if you ran linux webservers in your VMs. If the thing stops responding... you reboot the VM box.

Could it not be run in CrossOver Linux / Wine?. Or is it a bit filthy using MS SQL or something rediculous like that?.

i found out that that is why i sometimes have a rediculously high speed result on speedtest.net
