apologies if its been discussed before but whats the schedule for the brakes?

front and rear pads almost gone so need doing asap. But as far as i can tell front discs have never been replaced and neither has rear drum. car has only done 42k miles i think but its a 14 plate! worth getting done at the same time I assume?

If the car has NOT been exposed to high levels of moisture.. the disc will be in far better condition than a disc that is rusty after 1 day parked.

If you have managed 40+ its not bad.. many 500's on here only get to 20k

At 8 years old you may as well fit new discs.. but the rear drum may be ok

Again..there is a dimension limit (but awkward to measure..)

You can get new discs and pads for about £30 makes sense to replace both, rears remove the drum clean out the dust, file the lip off the inner drum edge replace it would be very unusual to need rear shoes at that mileage.
A garage would probably charge £200 for the front to sort
