Technical boost problem

got punto gt turbo,when i get 2 3500 revs,boost start 2 come in ,it shuts down need advice what it could be

PuntoSportsClub forum might yield an answer quicker than here. Nearly everyone on PSC is driving a GT, so they deal with these issues day in, day out. Does the gauge how the boost pressure rising? I would suspect a faulty sensor reading is telling the ECU to back off the boost.

The boost seems to be coming on very late but Im not familiar with the GT.

If its going into over-boost the ECU will cut fuel and open the dump valve/wastegate. Put a pressure gauge on it see what its boosting to.

Maybe the turbo is packing up and only spinning properly when its really blasted with hot gas & by then its just too much so its dumped.

You're right there WhiteSei, 3500 RPM does seems rather higher. It should be a docile 1.4 at 2500 RPM, but then delivering full torque at 3000 RPM.
