Technical Body Computer / ECU on test bench

I plan to do some experiments on Fiat Punto mk2 - mk2/b Body computer, ECU and instrument panel on a test bench - off the vehicle. Has anyone tried souch a thing? I'm following autodata wiring and pinout information. Is it possible to power up the Body and instrument panel without the ECU?

Sorry, I have a body computer, where the Y connector is soldered in upside down, so the pin numbers got messed up. I assume it was made on friday...
After getting the correct pin numberings, it was easy to start it up.

Yeah, a little bit of headache why it didn't work. But after taking mine out from the car, realised the connector was upside down, it finally came alive!

College had a 8v setup on a rig
They had the engine
Dash - Engine Ecu and i think fusebox

They had the BARE MINIMUM and yet then engine worked well

i think fuel cut off was present
And the specific key and barrell from the car

Speedo even worked as it was a Non Abs Car
