Technical Magnetti marelli iaw59fm3 ecu does HW number matter?

Dear fellow owners,

I was wondering if the HW numbers matter on these ecus. i have a punto mk2 for the old man and it does not fire up properly due to the ecu. I have a IAW59F.M3 HW023 ECU. I am looking to buy a virgin plug and play ecu with the same mode number 59FM3 but they have different HW numbers.. HW303 and HW603. Does this matter at all?

i had a problem before when i used another car ECU on my car and had engine light on on sensors i didn't have this proplem only fixed after changing my engine from a donor car.
