As far as I know this is the only way to contact them, and it doesn't guarantee that the requests will reach the right people (Blue&Me team).

You need to be more specific. What is the problem with Blue&Me (what are the symptomps)? Do you have problem with your phone or your USB pen drive? What phone are you using?

I used to have a lot of issues with my MP3 collection and blue&me nav. The usual stuff: 'no media found', crashing and rebooting constantly, only picking up a subset of the entire file collection.

Turns out that blue&me *really* doesn't like MP3's with extra tags in, nor does it like collections with a mixture of VBR and CBR files.

There is a pretty simple way to fix this, by using VBRFix:
home.gna.org/vbrfix/
(sorry, can't link because this is my 1st post)

This will strip/correct the tags in your MP3 collection and make them more palatable for blue&me.

I've got a 32GB stick filled up to the brim, and leave it playing in shuffle. It took blue&me about 10 minutes to build the media library, but its been playing without a glitch for months now.

Just thought I'd share for all of you having MP3 troubles...

I have a 500 which will be 1 year in May. I tried to pair my phone with the blue tooth, which failed in addition blue & me has frozen. There is no radio, cd wont work - nothing. The display on the cd/radio reads "Blue & Me no voice" and on the display behind steering wheel reads "no language", however no buttons work and I've tried talking to see if it will respond to voice commands but nothing. Any ideas?

Oh dear, there seems to be so much trouble with blue and me that my head is spinning!

We have a brand new 60 plate 1.2 Sport and I'm trying to use a 3gs iPhone which is formatted on an iMacand running IOS4. The bluetooth seems to be fine but the car just doesn't seem to recognise the iPhone when it's connected, although weirdly it did the very first time I tried it.

As far as I can see, newer fiat models of Fiat should work fine with iPhones, although I'm unsure if being formatted on a Mac will affect it?

There must be an easy way of seeing if the car has the latest software version-I don't think the download from Fiat's website is even compatible on a Mac?

The car is great, but I have to say that this issue is a bit annoying considering we specifically chose to pay more for Blue and Me.

Hi All

as every body else in here i have problems with my iphone on blue and me, connecting with bluetooth. I have software version 4.3.1 on my iphone, and blueand me 5,5 on my car. I have been told, that blueandme version 5,5 works with iphone version 4.2.1. I have found out, that when you pare you iphone with blue and me, and then DO NOT copy your phone book, it works, and the iphone stay connected and works, as it should. I have testet this, and i have tryed to copy the phonebook to the car after som days, and then the system becom unstabilo again, and the phone fail to connect, og jumps on and off.

Try that, it could be fun, to see if others have suscess with this

Hi there..

in addition to what i wrote about how to get it to work, i allso have an answer to why your iphone worked the first time. I have found out that it works fine, until you switch the car off again. If .. just for the fun of it, your paired the phone again, you will propperly find, that it worked again

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Hi
just joined forum
having problems with Blue & Me (who isn't?) Using a Nokia 6230i
worked perfectly for a few weeks then the volume dropped way off so i can hear perfectly but the person I'm calling can barely hear me ("like i'm at the end of a tunnel!")
anyone else have this problem?

not impressed with their iPod support, was guaranteed by the dealer that it would work with an iPod but it won;t, i had to buy an ice-link (Dension) to get the iPod working with it, now it works really well. incidentally my CD player won't play mp3 CDs, also was promised it would but has anyone else had this problem? looks like a trip back to Fiat is on the horizon

any ideas on the volume problem?

higginst
Hi! My cd player won't play mp3's either. Also, if i have more than about 100 songs on usb, media player won't work and the mileage starts flashing!

Sorted tags. Couldn't work out what to do with vbrfix, so did it all manually. Tedious but well worth it! Cheers!

iv got my iphone4 syncd up to my blue&me but iv noticed theres a few second delay in what i say to when the other person hears it, is this normal?

I used Tag&Remane to put id tags on my memory stick, never have trouble, we have two old sony ericsson mobiles and they pair every time no problems. As I say, whey does the Blue and me wording stay on the head unit when you play from a mem stick and shows your song on the speedo area, what crap!

Hi guys, first post. This has almost definitely been covered so apologies but don't fancy searching through 48 pages. Got a fiat bravo active a couple of weeks back and been having problems with the media player. Phone pairs up ok and can make calls. Basically when I try to play anything from my USB stick, mp3 player or phone it plays about 3 seconds of the song, makes a nasty noise then cuts out. Does this again and again. It was doing this with my phone and memory stick first so I tried my wee 2gig mp3 player and that worked fine. So I decided to put some songs on it that I actually wanted and then the next time I tried it it was doing the above, so now its doing it with all 3. Any solutions?

i have a fiat grand punto.but my phone dosent paring with blue and me.its always says paring rejected by blue and me.my steering windows button and phone button also not working.please help me .:(

Hi Guys,

I hope I'm not repeating the same ole same ole question, but I couldn't find a definitive answer. I got my brand new Fiat 500 Lounge yesterday (Ragamuffin Red) a much loved and coveted car for the last four years. To my dismay, the blue&me phone element works with my iPhone 4G ios 4.3.5, not the messaging, but I can live with that. However it doesn't work with the media aspect. I updated the firmware to 5.5 It works with and iPod no problem, but not my iPhone? What gives? So I have definitive questions.....

1: Do I need the iPhone adapter for the iPhone 4 ios 4.3.5 and not the iPod?
2: Why does the iPod work? (is it because i can be used for hard disk access)

I'm not a technophobe, so any any any help would be greatly appreciated. I really only want one device attached at one time.

Cheers

I wonder how 'late build' the Ragamuffin model is since another member on here has got an iphone 4 to work with B&Me as a media player.
I would suggest doing a 'hard reset' on the iphone4.
If this fails you could try updating the B&Me to 5.5 again after doing a battery disconnect.
It often needs perserverance.

... but I found my 500 TA (built late May 2011) charges and plays media faultlessly from both an iPhone 3GS and 4 with iOS v4.3.5 on them. Both Mac formatted also.

My Nokia 7210 Supernova shares an excellent feature in phonebook with my Linea's Blue&Me: when I pair the phone, my Linea's Blue&Me prompts back asking 'Do you want to copy phonebook?'. If I press the phone button on the steering wheel, the entire phonebook is copied from the phone to Blue&Me. And, any additions and/or deletions made in the contacts of the phone subsequently are automatically updated in Blue&Me's phonebook.

On the contrary, my Nokia N95 - a higher end version as compared to 7210 Supernova - does not have this feature. Even after successful pairing, I have to upload the contacts one-by-one to the phonebook of my Linea's Blue&Me. I should be prepared to hear as many beeps as the number of contacts in the phone! Also, any subsequent additions and deletions are not automatically updated in the phonebook of Blue&Me. I have to remember to manually upload the contact to Blue&Me. If I don't do that and if I receive a call from the new contact, mere number is displayed in the MID. So, today, I switched over to my old favourite Nokia 7210 Supernova after successful pairing!:)
