You cant do point 1 as Blue&Me matches the phone and not the sim, saying that most of the older LG phones will work you just need to manually send all your contacts to the B&M system.

Thanks for that...what I cannot seem to discover is how to manually send the contacts.

Ok here goes just for you......
1. When your LG conects with B&M use the steering wheel controls and press the "phone" button.
2. Scroll through to "phonebook",and select.
3. Select "add contacts"
4. On your LG phone go to "contacts" and the easy way is "select all" (if this function is not available you'll have to do each contact individually),then select "send as buisness card" via bluetooth.
5.You will then hear a series of clicks (one for each contact being sent),when they have all been transferred just press the "phone" button again and all your contacts will be stored.

please let me know if this works.(y)

As to why your system adds 1's to any verbally given numbers perhaps its your Ozzy drawl???

On a serious note, point 3 the answer is yes you can charge most phones using the USB cable, some phones (ie iPhone) loose some functionality while plugged in via USB so you need to check when you've plugged it in.
Hello how do you add the numbers manually????

I presume you are using an LG phone?
I've copied my reply to "updated phone list" thread which tells you how to send phone book manually via Bluetooth:-

I used to have an LG Cookie (KP500) and now have an LG Viewty (GM360). It is possible to transfer the phone book from the phone to Blue&Me with both these models; however the transfer is a manual one (it doesn't update the phonebook automatically).

After pairing with Blue&Me, Go into Contacts, then Settings, then Send all contacts via Bluetooth. The phone will then send your phonebook to Blue&Me. You'll have to do this whenever you update your phonebook with new contacts etc - not a massive hardship as it only takes a minute or so.

One other thing I've noticed is that the LG Cookie read out my received text messages, the Viewty does not. However I've not updated my Blue&Me for over a year so it may well work with a newer B&M version (getting a new 500 next month so waiting until then to try).

I don't know about other models (think the Pop works in the same way as the cookie). I know old LG models (such as the original Viewty) didn't work with manual sending so hopefully it means all recent models will now at least allow you to send phonebook manually.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for that unfortunately my phone is a sony ericsson Z710i (old phone) cannot get Blue & me to accept contacts but thank you for the in fo

Hi All.. I have a Noka 5800XM, the device was working fine with the Blue&me and there was absolutely no problem. Recently the Blue&me just fails to pair with any mobile phone device.

What I have tried so far to get this working again:
- I have deleted the pairing from my cellphone and deleted the "user data" and tried repairing which failed, the voice says "user pairing in progress" and then without giving me a pairing code the function exits.
- I tried upgrading the software to version 5.5 and then pair the device which failed again. However, after this update before exiting the device pairing menu there is an error which pops up on my screen saying "pairing failed."

Also, if I try to search for Blue&Me connection from my phone to try a forced pairing, the device is not discovered at all. Is there a possibility that there is some button or something like that to switch on and off the car bluetooth?
Please help me and guide me with steps as to how I can get the bluetooth working as it was again..!~

Hi There,

I am from India and I have recently bought Samsung Galaxy S. I would like to know few things for Blue and Me and Android. I tried to connect the two and was able to pair the phone with my GP 2009 with the phone but the phone would not connect to enable me to make calls.

Also is the Indian version of GP compatible with the updated 5.5 Blue and me. Kindly help.

"Pre-termination" of call?

I have an Alfa 159 SW 2007, so perhaps I'm in the wrong forum, but this relates to Blue&Me and thus seems appropriate here...

I have an (as far as I know) updated version of Blue&Me which works ok with for instance Nokia E66 and SE Xperia mini pro. However, there's one thing I haven't figured out, which sometimes is a bit annoying (sorry if this been up before, haven't checked the forum thoroughly...): How do you terminate an initiated call BEFORE you received an answer?? This can for instance be if you realize that you called up the wrong person, or if you don't want to wait until "forever" if the person don't answer. I've tried every button, both by pressing just once normally or by holding (the holding of the phone symbol button works for ending ongoing calls, but not for a situation I describe above). Anyone has a solution?

If I understand you correctly, you want to end an outgoing call. In my Grande Punto I just need to press and hold the phone button, and it will end any outgoing calls (even if the phone is still dialling, or if the number is busy, and I don't want to wait until the line is disconnected automatically). I guess it should work the same way in your Alfa. The manual says that you need to hold the phone button longer than 1 second.

Thanks GXbox. I posted the same question on the Alfa Forum and got the same answer as you gave. Obviously, this is the way it should work. It then seems that something's wrong with my particular system since holding the phone button was the first thing I tried... Someone suggested updating the system by a "Sony Ericsson patch" that was available some time ago, supposedly fixing weired hang-up behaviour. Perhaps I give it a go (although I'm afraid of disturbing what appears to be a relatively volatile system that works reasonably well right now....)

Hi there. I got a four day old evo gp. the blue and me hands free worked fine for three days. Now when ever I call it sounds like a dalek on the other end, it become really loud and when dialling it sounds like i am in a really bad signal area even though im not. ive tried two phones (my phone is a iphone 4 which worked well for 3 days no issues ) and have also tried un pairing and re pairing etc and in various locations with engine on and off.

Its driving me mad. any ideas?

Cheers Chris

Have you tried reinstalling the B&M software? It sounds like a tricky one

Sony-Ericsoon Xperia Mini

I have a new Sony-Ericsson Xperia Mini mobile which can not be pairing with the Blue&Me, the Blue&Me refuses to be connected with the device.

Any experience?

I havent even thought about reinstalling it, how hard is it to do?
If you haven't done it before, I suggest you download the latest version from Fiat.com, unzip the installer to a formatted memory stick and proceed to install it by inserting the stick into the USB port. I've not come across this issue before, so I'm hoping that this cures it.

Strangely enough it seems to be working now. I read somewhere that possibly the media card was removed whilst engine was on and in media mode> The remedy for this was to put the engine into MAR switch the media mode to radio / CD then insert the media card remove it again, switch the on voice command on and say stop.

turn the engine off and back on then switch back to media (as should still be in radio/CD) finally insert media card.

This cleared the problem and can now play music again.

thank you very much for your help wizk1 and hope this makes sense if someone else tries to do it

Media Library does not show all files

I have been facing a issue with Blue&Me. I use my 30 GB Ipod Classic to play the songs. There is no problem as far as recognizing the Ipod and building the media library.

Unfortunately, Blue&Me does not read all the files on ipod. It stops reading after @16 GB. Is there a restriction in Blue&Me in terms of how many files can be loaded in Blue&Me?

The manual talks about 12000-16000 files but here I am trying to load @5000 files only.

Does B&M need some space on the USB drive to load the media library?

Regards,
Ashish
