My first reaction was that I couldn't see the point of it...
...but that doesn't mean people won't buy it.
So what if it doesn't do everything? If you try and cram in every feature, that's how you end up with Windows Mobile. Isn't it better to just put in the things you're likely to use, and make them work well?
If people are willing to pay £250 for an Amazon Kindle or Sony e-book reader, then this seems much better value to me. Also, I suspect that many people simply use their laptop to sit on the sofa and browse the web and email. For that, this seems not bad.
I wonder how much it'll be in the UK though. I reckon it'll be over £400.

e-ink is cool. First time I saw one of the Sony readers on display I thought it was a mock unit. Doesn't look like an LCD screen at all which is of course because it's nothing at all like an LCD screen.

True - but then I'm also in a minority of people who spend 50% of the year on a beach where an LCD screen sucks - but for people who have to use it in drab old london, having a backlight might be kinda useful
