Windows Home Server had a bug that caused it to lose data. It took Microsoft more than 6 months to fix it. Not very good for a server product. (http://blogs.msdn.com/jamesche/archive/2008/06/10/windows-home-server-data-corruption-fix.aspx) Also, anyone with a T-Mobile Sidekick (where the service has been run by Microsoft for the last year) has pretty much lost all their data.(http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/10/12/microsoft_t_mobile_danger_server_outage/)

When ever mates ask to use my laptop or media centre - I make them use the guest account and even more so my nephew when he's here gets the guest account - if he's lucky.
