General Any one know original tread depth!

Have had a few probs (like many) with tyre wear on my Stilo. Anyway have had new set of Dunlops SP Sport 3000A on Since May.
I have done around 4000 miles on them to date and am a bit obsessively monitioring their wear rate. I have the geometry of the wheel checked and adjusted every 6 months and am trying to see if the problem of premature tyre wear has been solved.

Anyway At present I am (with a tread gauge) monitoring the wear rate but need to know the original tread depth when the tyres were new. Does anyone have any idea? I am guessing at about 7 or 8mm!

Id say 8mm

I have dunlop sp sports and when my car was serviced after a few months of them being fitted my backs were 7mm and my fronts were 6mm so i guess they started at 8mm

just had a look at my last servicing record and the unused spare is down at 10mm (also dunlops)

my spare on sevice was measured as 8mm, but i don't actually think they checked it!
