right, been thinking bout hotels and things BUT where is Rocester? do you mean Rochester? in which case its near Southend.. or do you mean Rochester as in the little village near newcastle? Or do you actually mean Rocester which is near stoke on trent/Alton towers?

im pretty confused as i doubt its the Rochester near london and the place near newcastle seems too little and a bit out of the way to be the place... rocester near alton towers seems on track but its a tiny little village..

or am i completly missing something?

I just picked a place around there I had heard about; Rocester was where a Christian Festival had been and a few friends had gone so I though "that'll do" - sorry if it is a small place, surely there's somwhere close for people to stay be it in a hotel or camping? If not I will have to change it, any ideas?

Excellent choice then if i do say so myself :) Anyway, it's not like it's a huge competition so if people have to park a few miles down the road I doubt many would complain...

Yes, it is that one, (hoping that makes sense on the route! lol - I am pretty sure it does)

I have been looking at the route and discussing it with Stuart and we have come to the following conclusion:
The south section doesn't look so bad but the northern bit is very spread out and disjointed. With it being a BH weekend traffic would be awful anyway so forget the timing there. Also it's worth noting Shefield is in the midle of nowhere and hard to get to. Would it not be better to work along the m6 route from rocester to blackpool ie. the outskirts of manchester or liverpool then up to preston and across to st. annes (all of which fits in nicely with planned trips to wigan and ending in blackpool). By introducing more places we could have more stops and challenges along the way = more fun :). I am prepared to find some challenges for these extra places to help out.

Here are some suggestions:
Manchester side:
Macclesfield
Wilmslow
Altrincham
Leigh
Wigan
Leyland
Preston
St annes
Blackpool

Liverpool side:
Northwich
Warrington
St Helens
Wigan
Chorley
Blackburn
Preston
St annes
Blackpool

Thoughts please?

Sounds good.

We will also need to establish what the rules are for those who are joining in on the second day only. Obviously can't win as such!? We will just have to do 50% of the agreed objectives.

Also, what about the meeting point and set time at the end of the rally in Blackpool - I presume a drink/meal will be in order, or will people want to be going home....

i'm not going to able to make any of the rally route, i live in st annes and its a very toursit driven place.. so i'm going to be doing 12 hour shifts on sat/sun. After work tho, def be able to get up to blackpool to meet up with you all. Is this thread the best place to check back for info on it?
