General 100hp. GoodYear Eagle F1's. Can I find them?

Yeah right. Nowhere has any.

I unfortunately have a cut in the side wall of my nearside rear tyre. It looks dangerously deep so I am using the spare 'get you home' wheel.

Can I find any 195/45 R15 Eagle F1's ???
I have contacted about 10 local tyre fitters and a online tyre place, they all say that the Eagle F1's in that saize are on backorder from GoodYear and they can not give me a date when they will start shipping them again.

So I have some options:

• leave the space saver tyre on a limp around at 50mph and wait?
• put a cheapo crap tyre on until GoodYear finally send some more over to the UK?
• Get a equivilent performance tyre.?

Has anyone else had this problem?? I have literally tried everywhere and I get the same answer wherever I call.

Any ideas?

with a 50 profile they £10 cheaper or toyos only 33 quid

toyo used to have that tread pattern but changed it to one with a diffrent edge as it was better

theres a shortage of eagle F1s at the mo, I'm told there are yokohamas in the same profile available at a cheaper price and equally as impressive performance wise, the shortage stretches back as far as when I had the accident in the first panda, my tyres is a good choice, but reflected in the price, I'll be trying the yokos when I'm due a set

if it was my car i would replace all 4 with a set of toyo t1r 195/50/15

I am afraid they have none either, they can order but can not give me a date on delivery as they are on backorder from Goodyear.

Guys just a heads up, I have Toyo T1Rs on my 1.2 that have lasted me just over 7000 miles and wear very quickly. They are absolute crap in the wet, and wear very quickly after 3000 miles or so, and I've had the tracking checked 3 times...I wouldn't recommend them on the heavier 100hp.

I'm heading back to the Pirelli P5000 Drago camp once the T1Rs are down to bare minimum.

Continentals are very good, Marangonis have a good name but I'm not sure how well they last. They're only £40 each from mytyres too.

I'll be going with Marangonis on mine when they need changing.

Huh, pitty I dont live closer to you - I've got a set, brand new (driven 50 miles) and no one seems to be wanting them. And mind you, I went as low as 40 EUR per tire.

No one is selling them in Slovenia either - a real rarity.
How much of a difference would it be, going from 45 to 50 (both 15, 195)? Comfier ride, a bit more roll in the curves? Anyone did that sort of change?

thats strange, on a punto they are the beat wet tyres ive ever had, and last 3 times longer than my Pirellis did

Well Ive finally got a full size tyre on the 100hp so the pram wheel can go back in the boot... Nobody could supply the Eagle F1 so I found the Yokohama S-drive in the correct size.

This is the sales blurb:

Ive had the Toyos and thought they were brilliant, and they wore very well too. No probs in the wet, Id use them again.

Have you tried a Fiat dealer? Fiat must be getting them from somewhere. Cheaper to pay for one slightly more expensive (dealer price) tyre than 4 new ones if they're not needed yet.
