Hi guys I need some help.. I've got a 2010 punto evo GP and a couple of months ago a cable burned out between the starter motor and the ignition and ever since then I've had two warning lights on the dash and when I plugged my fault code reader in it says misfire cylinder 1 and 4 although there doesn't seem to be a misfire. I've tried changing the plugs leads and coil pack but still it persists. Does anyone have any suggestions before I take it to fiat and spend a lot of £££ on it.

Not having a Punto Evo to hand, except an Abarth Supersports and that's different, i can't remember if yours have one coil or two. Either way, cyl 1 & 2 spark at the same time so there is likely some damage to the switching wire caused by your previous damage that has increased the resistance in a wire thus putting the light on. If you are not confident with electrics i'd find an auto electrician, having worked at main dealers i can say with confidence that they will charge you a few hours diag labour and find nothing. Where abouts are you?
