Cheaper options for remote key fob, no original remote key.

Hi everyone,

I am in an unusual situation. I have a car with remote unlocking but no remote fob, as the previous owners presumably still have it. I have been quoted £316 by Fiat to produce one from scratch, and I am naturally keen to explore cost-effective options. I am not fussed about using official casings or anything like that and I still have the original second key.

Does anyone know of providers who can do this, preferably at a better price than what Fiat has suggested?

Cost £150 for a non Fiat key, cut and reprogramming, there were four dedicated key programmers listed round here, so you shouldn’t have any problem finding someone where you are

Buying a 'same series' key from ebay..
£30/£60

and getting a local place to cut a new blade and then code the chip to the car
I paid @£80
