Have 1978 Fiat 124 Spider. The car has air conditioner copressor but the AC unit was removed prior to my buying it. Cannot determine how to adjust tension on belt. Their is a pullet that looks like a tensioner but ir will not budge. Any ideas?

In the old days you used to manually tension with an adjustor on the alternator, loosen nut lever alternator out to tension tighten nut, this may also have been done off the air con pump?, any other pully is probably just a guide? Posting a pic might help though

It might be automatically adjusted through the oil pressure. & may have siezed up?
