This week I fitted timing belt kits from two manufacturers .
INA belt kits no longer contain printed fitting technical details.
Gates belt kits no longer contain printed fitting technical details.

Online SKF state their kits still contain printed technical fitting details.

I suppose with the timing details getting more complex it would be several pages not like the older vehicles, guess I retired not a moment too soon. ;)

Hi Mike,
I think it likely to be cost cutting.
INA and Gates both included a slip of paper directing to their respective websites where a code from the boxes could be entered to get "fitting instructions" . An extra faff and the instructions on line were very poor with few or no torque settings.
Cheers Jack

Today
SKF timing belt and water pump kit from eurocar#%##%$#%$%
No printed technical details in box
But...... link to SKF website came up with the correct very decent technical instructions torque settings etc.

Update
Gates kits require scanning qr code on box to sign up then see fitting instructions.... absolutely awful misleading info , in cartoon form - do not bother looking up gates instructions.

The gates parts in the kit were very good.

INA belt kits .....
QR code on box to scan which takes you to a web page with links to fitting cartoons that do have useful torque settings.
Pleased to see ful set of required new bolts in the kit (-:
