Guys,

Can anyone shed any info on my VIN number.

I want to know how far down the line mine was made before production ended.

Would also be great to see if i could dig up some geeky stuff relevant to my vehicle via its vin and engine number.

Checked eper but keep getting disconnected and also end up lost in it lol.

Br,
Dan.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how many Stilo's were actually built and would the VIN number reflect this or is it typical Fiat/Italian logic that the number won't really give any clues ?

I've had mine since new and as it is a late 2006 model would be interesting to try and find out where it comes in the production numbers.

ePER will only give build date, plus sometimes some extra detail. VIN will start at a definitive number, such as 100001, but may be different for each model. But without first and last, can't hazard a guess at numbers.

If you want build date, PM me the whole VIN and I'll see what comes out.

Hey bill, will post you mine when new log book comes back... could take a pic of the plate under the bonnet but its corroded :(

Totally forgot I posted this thread.

Have done some digging about with my own VIN in ePer and have found out quite a bit regarding my Multijet.

However, i would like to see if i can find out more information.

How many where built in total, how far to the end of production is mine and would i be able to find out how many 150 multijets where made and where abouts in the production mine falls.

I have my VIN and will PM you #Portland_Bill

That sort of info not in ePER as not relevant for parts lookup. Some of that is difficult to find, as Fiat have no need to release information about number made and start/end dates or VIN numbers.

Personally, might not be a good idea to know such stuff. If lots made, does it devalue your car in your own mind, make it less special, although the more there is the easier parts supply should be. If few made, or not many left, it'll feel more special, but may increase the fear of taking it out or parking it anywhere.
Apparently my Alessi is one of less than 100 registered in the UK, of all 3 colour choices. Makes it rare, but as it is really only a normal Panda Eleganza in fancy dress, at least parts supply should be good for a while yet. Does make me keep a watchful eye for people trying to crash into it though.
