I've got a Panda, which I've grown very fond of. My wife has passed her test (Hurray!) so we want another car now. I'm keen to repeat the success of the Panda (1.3 Multijet) with five seats. Long and the short: I can't find an automatic Punto on sale anywhere. I've begun to suspect that's because there aren't any. Has the Punto (Multijet) ever had an automatic gearbox? For a variety of reasons too complicated to get into here, if we can't find a Punto with an automatic gearbox and opt to get a manual instead, can we get an automatic gearbox which might be fitted later. Is that possible; is there an automatic gearbox for the Punto; does anyone know, please?

Yes, I've found them now, thanks. They're mainly in Italy and the South of France with a few in Germany. Found them on http://www.theparking.eu/used-cars/.html, much better than 'AutoScout' or 'Mobile.de'!

the punto is a "semi-auto" - as is the panda,

legal to drive on a UK Auto only licence

it's essentially a normal manual box with a computer driven "robot" working the clutch and gear stick - fiat call this Dualogic ( selespeed for Alfa)

an example;
