For what I have seen mk2a Punto's all have the same seat belts. And they all seem to have pretensioners.
Today I was running some wire to the back of my punto to fit a subwoofer, and noticed that the seatbelt pretensioner has no cables going to it. Checked the passenger side and same thing, there are no wires going to the seatbelts pretensioners.
They are retractor pretensioners that backwind the belt spool, so I took the spool out, and that there's no plugs or any sort of "places" where an electrical cable would eventually connect to. But there is a pyrotechnic charge on them, and warning about it, and yet they don't connect to anything.
Am I missing something? How does the pretensioner detect a collision? It's not monitored or triggered by the airbag ECU.
