whenever i start my new punto x-box from cold, the revs go to 1200 - 700 - 1200 - 800 - 1000 - 900 (maybe longer but u get what i mean) up and down sounds like its choking. Is this normal for a 1.2 16V punto?

I would've thought that it would be normal. Auto-choke will tickle the engine to warm it up quickly but deliver oil to areas needed before you set off and rev it past a safe mark with the parts needing oil starved of it.

Did you plug your controller in? or, press the reset button? maybe put another game in and it might work

Mine does that too. I've not had any problems with it in the last year so imagine that it's normal.
